Dr. Diesburg's Work with Donated Dental

Jul 12, 2013

Mark

We were thrilled to see the McMinnville News-Register profile our patient, Mark Dolan, a disabled veteran who received new teeth from us through the Donated Dental program. Donated Dental is a national program that pairs dentists and dental labs willing to volunteer hours with deserving patients who can't afford dental care.

These patients are permanently disabled, low-income and over 65. The News-Register published a great story on Mark, who has been suffered from chronic pain for 22 years, and his experience with the program. "It helps connect people who are in the right place with medical people who are willing to help and have the facility to help them," Dr. Diesburg told Molly Walker of the News-Register. Oregon's numbers for 2012 are impressive:

  • $767,426 in donated dental services
  • 210 patients treated
  • 317 volunteer dentists
  • 150 volunteer dental labs
