Dr. Adam Diesburg, DDS

Dr. Adam Diesburg, D.D.S. believes that oral health is paramount to overall health – that by helping his patients achieve optimum health for their mouth, gums and teeth, he can extend their lives, their quality of life, and their comfort for decades to come.

“I’m not just fixing teeth – though we do that, too,” Dr. Diesburg said. “I see myself as transforming my patients’ lives by providing them with the best aesthetic and therapeutic treatments available.”

Raised in the Midwest, Dr. Diesburg earned both a Bachelor of Arts in German Language and Culture and a Bachelor in Liberal Studies with focuses in Chemistry, Psychology and Studio Art from Iowa State University. A fluent German speaker, he studied as an exchange student at the University of Eichstaett, Germany. Dr. Diesburg completed an externship at the University of Radboud in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, with an emphasis in composite resin. There, he trained in Transmission Electron Microscopy and TEM grid fabrication with microtome and created a community program to educate homeless people about oral health.

Dr. Diesburg received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Iowa and is a member of the American Dental Association and the Oregon Dental Association.

As a full scope general dentist, Dr. Diesburg holds specialty training in:

  • Pediatric dentistry
  • Oral health management
  • Oral surgery (extractions)
  • Prosthodontics (crowns, bridges and dentures)
  • Endodontics
  • Periodontal maintenance

Drawn by the allure of the Pacific Northwest and guided by more than a little bit of their own pioneer spirit, Dr. Diesburg and his wife moved to Oregon and practiced in Salem for three years before acquiring Dr. Mark Appel’s practice in McMinnville.

“McMinnville is one of those places where the grass is always greenest,” Dr. Diesburg said. “We really went looking for a sweet spot to raise our family, and we found it.”

Deeply committed to making his practice a vibrant part of the community, Dr. Diesburg is a strong supporter of local programs such as A Family Place, Kids on the Block, the McMinnville Education Foundation, McMinnville Montessori School, and Linfield’s Partners in Progress.

Dr. Diesburg and his wife, Emily, have been married for nine years. They met as camp counselors at Concordia Language Villages’ “Waldsee” German language camp and are active supporters of the camp and its 14 language programs.

In his leisure time, Dr. Diesburg enjoys the patient art of cultivating bonsai (you can check out our photo gallery of the ones he brings to the office), creating sculpture, painting, playing guitar and swing dancing. But more than anything, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife and sons, Dashiell and Griffin.
